Meet Mrs. Bass – Third Grade Teacher

Hello! My name is Mrs. Rehaana Bass, and I am so excited to be your child’s third

grade English, ELA, and Social Studies teacher this year.

I have been an educator for over 30 years, teaching primarily kindergarten and first

grade.

For the past three years, I have been part of the wonderful community at Greensboro

Islamic Academy, where I have taught kindergarten since 2021.

Teaching is truly my passion, and I believe in creating a classroom environment where

students feel valued, supported, and inspired to learn. This year, I am looking forward to

guiding my third graders as they grow into confident readers, thoughtful writers, and

curious learners of the world around them.

Outside of the classroom, I am happily married, a proud mother of seven, and a

grandmother to nine beautiful grandchildren. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with

my family, glamping in the great outdoors, cooking, reading, and simply enjoying quiet

moments.

I am looking forward to working together with you to make this a year full of growth,

discovery, and success for your child.
