Hello, my name is Asma Hannah, I'm thrilled to be teaching 5th grade ELA & Social Studies. 

I've been working in a classroom setting for over 10 years. 7 years as a paraprofessional and 5 as a teacher. I really enjoy working with students in this age group. I believe that strong reading and writing skills are the foundation for success in all subjects, so we'll be working hard to build those skills together. We'll be reading stories, practicing our grammar, and writing persuasive essays to develop our own unique writing styles.

I'm passionate about helping students become confident communicators and critical thinkers. Although, outside of teaching I love family time outdoors along with reading and journaling.
