As salaamu alaikum,
As Salaamu Alaikum, My name is Zahirah Solomon and this upcoming school year will be my fourth year working at Greensboro Islamic Academy. I began my teaching career in 2013 in Newark, NJ at Newark Public Schools and I have worked with Elementary and Middle School students in general education and special education.
In the classroom I believe in creating an engaging and supportive environment where students feel empowered to explore, question, and develop their unique strengths. This year I am looking forward to students having hands-on engagement in Math and Science and using the tools they learn in class and implementing them into everyday life.
